Overview
Secret Betting Club (SBC) is a very interesting service/paid membership. They aim to help members to earn at least £100 per day, or they get their membership money back.
The price for a one year’s subscription is £69, which isn’t very expensive. If you divide this amount by 12 months, it turns out to be only £5.75 per month.
I found out that they are a very friendly and helpful group of people who always give detailed answers to my questions via e-mail.
Secret Betting Club positions themselves as professional gamblers. I have no reason not to believe them. My only concern is this – can a SBC membership give you any advantage over the general betting public?
The Service
Upon joining SBC, you’ll receive the latest month’s report, as well as access to the previous editions. I have noticed that recently their report has become bigger and bigger. The latest edition (October 2007) was about 70 pages long!
So what is covered in these monthly reports? Basically, Secret Betting Club acts like a tipster proofing service by sharing results to members. But there’s even more – they add valuable advice for each tipster service by testing them long-term, and classifying them into categories.
For example, in “Hall of Fame,” they include only those tipsters who have proofed positive results long term, giving a clear indication on whatever is worth joining them.
Also, Secret Betting Club rates each tipster service individually by risk level, cost, transparency, portfolio weighting, etc. If you’re a serious betting investor, this info helps a lot, especially the portfolio weighting rating.
There are dozens of tipping services monitored at any given time. Only a handful of them gets into the “Hall of Fame” section. Horse racing, golf and soccer are sports covered by SBC tipsters.
Members of Secret Betting Club are able to submit their own “review and proofing requests,” and share their ideas on the members’ only forum. These are good signs that SBC owners are really interested in their members’ ideas and problems, and are ready to work hard to satisfy everyone.
Risk Level
SBC isn’t a magic button to make you a millionaire from online betting. And it doesn’t eliminate the usual risks associated with betting. But if you’ll follow at least 5 suggestions from the “Hall of Fame” section, and are smart with portfolio weighting, the risk that you’ll lose your betting bank is almost zero.
Betting Bank
If you’re serious about making money from tipsters, you’ll need a decent size betting bank (that is, if you want to make serious money from month one). I would say a bank of £20k would be enough to quit your day job. This kind of bank could give you a monthly profit of £2k - £3k.
Of course, you can always start small and build your bank gradually. Just remember it will take some time with a profit rate of 10%-15% per month. Still, this is much better deal than putting your money in the bank, if you don’t care about risks.
Conclusions
Secret Betting Club is a genuine service that tries to help every day punters make money from online betting. If you’re a patient person, joining this club could be a good idea.
One thing concerns me – SBC does not give you exact instructions on how to use all this information. There are so many tipsters, even in the “Hall of Fame” section. How do you know how to manage the betting banks, and the risks? How many tipsters do you use? There are no clear answers to these questions, at least, not in SBC’s report.
Remember, SBC only gives you information about good and proofed tipster services. You still have to pay monthly fees for each of them. If the average price for a tipster service is £30 per month, 5 tipsters will cost you £150 per month, which is a lot of money. That’s why big players will feel much better about this service than average £5 stakers.
Overall, Secret Betting Club gives you a good value for your money. If you are ready for a long term investment, I couldn’t think of a better option!
